Zipy Ride Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Zipy Ride. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Zipy Ride mobile application,
website, and transportation services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Zipy Ride, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree,
please do not use the Platform.
1. About Zipy Ride
Zipy Ride is a technology platform that connects riders with independent transportation providers for airport transfers,
local transportation, private driver services, sightseeing transportation, scheduled rides, and related mobility services.
Zipy Ride does not directly provide transportation services unless expressly stated. Transportation services are provided
by independent drivers or transportation providers operating through the Platform.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
- You must provide accurate and complete account information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.
3. Account Registration
Users may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information.
- Maintain updated contact information.
- Protect your password and login credentials.
- Notify Zipy Ride immediately of any unauthorized account use.
Zipy Ride reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.
4. Transportation Services
Zipy Ride allows users to request transportation services from participating drivers. Service availability may vary based on:
- Location
- Driver availability
- Weather conditions
- Road conditions
- Government restrictions
- Events beyond our control
Zipy Ride does not guarantee driver availability at all times.
5. Fares and Payments
By requesting transportation through the Platform, you agree to pay all applicable charges, which may include:
- Base fares
- Distance charges
- Time-based charges
- Airport fees
- Toll charges
- Waiting time fees
- Cancellation fees
- Applicable taxes
Prices displayed before booking may be estimates and can vary based on actual trip details. Payment methods may include
credit cards, debit cards, mobile payments, digital wallets, or other approved methods.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Riders may cancel a ride request at any time. Cancellation fees may apply when:
- A driver has already accepted the ride.
- The driver has arrived at the pickup location.
- Excessive wait times occur due to rider delays.
Refund requests are reviewed individually and may be granted at Zipy Ride’s sole discretion.
7. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Engage in illegal activities.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse drivers.
- Damage vehicles or property.
- Transport illegal items.
- Use the Platform for fraudulent purposes.
- Impersonate another person.
- Provide false information.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
8. Safety Requirements
For safety purposes, riders agree to:
- Verify ride details before entering a vehicle.
- Use OTP ride verification when available.
- Wear seat belts when required.
- Follow driver safety instructions.
- Comply with applicable laws.
Zipy Ride may suspend users who create safety risks for drivers or other passengers.
9. Driver Relationship
Drivers using the Platform are independent contractors and are not employees of Zipy Ride unless otherwise specified.
Zipy Ride is not responsible for the acts, omissions, conduct, or negligence of independent drivers.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zipy Ride shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Consequential damages
- Lost profits
- Personal belongings left in vehicles
- Service interruptions
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen events
The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
11. Lost Items
Zipy Ride is not responsible for personal property left in vehicles. If an item is lost, riders may contact support,
and we will attempt to facilitate communication with the driver. Recovery of lost items cannot be guaranteed.
12. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, software, graphics, and content associated with Zipy Ride remain the property of Zipy Ride
or its licensors. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Platform without written permission.
13. Account Suspension
Zipy Ride reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
14. Modifications to Services
Zipy Ride may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, services, pricing structures, or portions of the Platform at any time.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Costa Rica without regard to conflict of law principles.
